It's amazing how much society wants to corral us all into one little neat box where everyone is the same. Why? What is the problem with.... the fact that I go to bed at 2 or 3 AM and get up at 10 or 11 each day? I'm sure it's 9 AM somewhere when I get up. Hawaii maybe, which is where I was born so that would make sense. I eat breakfast at noon, lunch at 3 PM and dinner anywhere between 6 and 9 PM. I work from five minutes after I wake up, 'til 5 minutes before I fall asleep (with the exception of about two hours where I'm either eating, working out or watching a sitcom rerun) and I love it. I eat rice cakes, drink red wine and eat way too many peppermint patties. Would I like two weeks lying naked on a beach in the Maldives without a computer in sight? Hell yes, but I would then revert back to my old ways of working when I got back. I'm so passionate about all that I'm involved in that literally months have gone by and I can't believe it's nearly June! Where has the time gone? Occasionally I stop and think about all the things I'd like to do (learn French, go to France and never come back, learn to Salsa dance, paint more often, write more songs, lay on my back and stare at the sky), but then I think I can do those things later when life slow down. Will life ever slow down though? There are a few people I will stop to spend time with, but I can quite literally fit them in one hand (or count them on one hand as the case may be). That's just who I am and I ain't got no problem with that. I'm grateful to have that many real, true friends. Just thought I'd share. I'd love to hear who you are and why that makes you happy!
